Hi! My name is Michelle the owner of Bloom baby classes Northern Ireland South. I’m a first-time mum to my little girl Cliona born in the pandemic.
I am a qualified primary school teacher, with experience working full-time and subbing/supply work across all year groups. When working as a substitute teacher, I found I loved working in the reception classes most, getting to sing and dance and be silly with the little ones was part of my motivation to start baby classes. My main motivation however is my daughter. Having her in a pandemic is something I never imagined and although I loved having time to bond in those early days, at times it was very difficult. I had dreamed of bringing my first to sensory classes, baby swim classes and meeting other parent friends to share the journey with, something that was not possible. I brought these sensory classes to my area so that other new mums would have a welcoming baby development class to bond with their little one but also to support their own postnatal wellbeing. I came across Bloom when I discovered their Bloom well-being page, which offers support parent to parent across all issues of parenting
I was so impressed with the ethos of kindness, welcomeness, and respect that I investigated Bloom further. I came across the opportunity to franchise Bloom classes and bring them to Northern Ireland. An opportunity to provide to the area’s parents, classes that will give them a safe place to connect with other parents and give their babies an enriching experience that each week helps them to develop and grow. An opportunity also to gain that work/life balance that teaching couldn’t give me and spend more time bringing Cliona to those places she has missed out on.
The support for my small business has been amazing and watching little one Bloom right from as little 6 weeks until their walking is an absolute pleasure. Babies and mummies love their Bloom classes and the memories they create together are lasting.
I look forward to welcoming lots of mummies and babies in the area to these award-winning baby classes and creating special moments for you and baby.

As part of our continued effort to support parents and post natal wellbeing we have created the Rainbow Parachute Project.
When booking onto a Bloom Baby Class class you will be asked if you are able to round up your total basket to the nearest pound or add a little more if you are able to.
All money raised will go to post natal mental health charities across the UK, providing life saving telephone support and in person support groups where parents can share their experiences and get professional support from trained mental health specialists.
