Bloom baby classes Calderdale
A warm hello from me, Katie, the proud owner of Bloom Baby Classes Calderdale!
Before Bloom, I was working as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, working with staff teams to support people with autism and learning disabilities to achieve a good quality of life. I loved the positive aspects of this job despite how stressful it could be, however, after having my beautiful baby girl, Lily, in 2022, my priorities changed.
As for many first time mums, the transition to motherhood was difficult for me and I was grateful for attending baby classes to promote bonding with my baby, add structure to my week and help me see that I wasn’t alone in my experiences of reflux and sleepless nights! I have also loved seeing the impact of attending classes on my daughter’s happiness and development, from watching her blow excited raspberries when given a new toy to developing new skills. The first times she held something and sat up independently were during a baby class!
For these reasons I decided to take the plunge and become a part of the Bloom journey, to share the same positive impact on mums and babies that I have experienced myself whilst attending classes. Your baby’s development is central to Bloom classes, exposing them to music, sensory play and baby massage to support development of fine and gross motor skills, body awareness, hand-eye coordination and so much more. There is also a real focus on maternal wellbeing and getting to know other mums, another fantastic aspect of attending the classes.
I’m so excited to welcome you and your baby to my classes! Come along to sing, dance and shake a pom pom or two!

supporting post natal wellbeing
As part of our continued effort to support parents and post natal wellbeing we have created the Rainbow Parachute Project.
When booking onto a Bloom Baby Class class you will be asked if you are able to round up your total basket to the nearest pound or add a little more if you are able to.
All money raised will go to post natal mental health charities across the UK, providing life saving telephone support and in person support groups where parents can share their experiences and get professional support from trained mental health specialists.
